Irony

The irony of hosting this event near anything at all even loosely associated with those Urban Outfitters/Anthropologie thieves is laughable.

re: Irony

Hi dMullins,

Is this comment in reference to the "truche" incident from the other week? Have you seen the Regretsy piece on it or the Urban response? I know that when truche's twitter account was first made public the story was very evincing, and I personally felt remorseful that one of the primary players responsible for advancing our city in the global design landscape could have carried out such an act. However, after it was brought to my attention that the concept is not so proprietary as one might think, and that numerous other artists had created very similar jewelry before her, I realized it was likely a common idea.

You could be correct about all of this, but consider the idea that it might be entirely coincidental. Please let me know what you think; it's a good discussion to be having and there are a lot of issues at play.

Thanks,

Alex Zahradnik
