Green Tea Hour
Sharing Slow Design Ideas
Open Forum
Slow design, a movement inspired by slow food, calls for designers to consider a more overall lifecycle examination of their projects, to utilize local sourcing, and to take more time to develop ideas that ensure the most well-crafted, ecologically friendly, and economically healthy solutions.

Participants will have a chance to gather with other local designers, artists and thinkers to discuss slow design concepts in an open forum. Share any work, philosophies and ideas you have related to the slow design movement, and afterwards, you'll be given a chance to continue the dialogue online at AIGA Philadelphia's facebook page.
This event is co-moderated by Rob Fleming, LEED® AP, and Chris Pastore, Ph.D., Co-Directors of the Engineering and Design Institute at Philadelphia University, an interdisciplinary research center focusing on green materials, sustainable design and community outreach. One Trick Pony creates advertising and branded creative content. They focus on their clients' needs as if they were their own and devote themselves to creating progressive advertising and design solutions that move their clients' brands forward. One Trick Pony is led by owners Rob Reed and Keith Pizer. After working in New York City for years, Rob and Keith traded the big city for small-town USA. One Trick Pony is located in the "The Blueberry Capital of the World" - Hammonton, NJ., in the heart of South Jersey's farmlands, in between Philadelphia and Atlantic City. Despite their small town location, they are still cranking out big ideas and eating a lot of Blueberries while doing it.
